How are orders dispatched?
Orders are dispatched in the order they’re received, within the delivery season you select.
We start with pre-orders — any order placed before the start of a delivery season — followed by orders placed after the start of the delivery season.
At particularly busy or peak periods, this may mean a short delay in your expected delivery, which is why we encourage everyone to place their order ahead of the growing season.
We assure you that we do everything we can to get your plants delivered on time!
Our shipping seasons are:
Spring: Orders will be sent out from the beginning of April – end of May
Hot House Plants*: Orders will be sent out from the 6th of May – 23rd of June
Summer: Orders will be sent out from the beginning of June – to mid-July
Autumn/Winter: Orders will be sent out from end of July – end of September
We start sending out Spring plants in the first week of April. In the months before this, plants will be available to order online from November of the preceding year as pre-orders. Delivery for the year begins in April and ends in October.
For example if you order your Spring Garden in a Box on the 3rd of December 2021, it will arrive in April 2022. If you order a Summer box on the 3rd of December 2021 it will be delivered in June 2022 etc. There may be unexpected delays so please be patient! We will endeavour to get in touch with you if we expect your order to be delayed.
Please note, that if we are ahead of schedule you may receive your plants sooner than the delivery times above. If you know that you are going to be away for a long period of time, please send us an email informing us of the dates you are away so we can avoid sending your order during that time. Simply reply to your order confirmation to let us know.
We sincerely regret that as a result of a Brexit no-deal with regards plant bio-security, the additional phytosanitary requirements imposed by the Government for exporting to the EU mean that we are able to ship to the Channel Islands, however, this will incur an extra delivery charge as our regular courier does not carry to the Channel Islands.
*Hot house plants include: Tomatoes, Tomatillo Verde, Sweet Peppers, Courgettes, Melons, Cucumber, Aubergine, Summer and Winter Squash and Pumpkins.
What if my order is for local collection?
If you select ‘Local Pickup’ as your delivery option, you will be able to come to the farm to collect your order. The delivery seasons are as stated above, and when your order is ready, you will receive an email with a link where you can book your collection slot as convenient.
Collections are on Monday-Thursday, and you can select a time from 3pm-6pm.
If you would like us to leave your box for you to collect after 6pm, please email us or call the Farm on 0117 942 8241 before midday on the day of your booked collection to organise a safe place.
Courier information
Our courier is Royal Mail. Orders are dispatched for next-day (24 hour) delivery so should arrive with you the day after they are collected from the poly tunnel. You will receive an ‘Order Complete’ notification from Propagation Place, followed fairly soon after with a delivery update from Royal Mail. This will contain your delivery information and tracking options.
If your order does not arrive 1-2 days after you receive your ‘Order Complete’ notification, please contact us so that we can look into any issues and give you your tracking information where necessary. Occasionally orders go missing with the courier. This is very disappointing for you as well as for us! We will of course replace and resend any order that goes missing. The sooner you let us know that you haven’t received your plants as expected, the sooner we can resend them!
As we have changed our courier in 2022 we are now able to ship to Northern Ireland again.
