Our terms and conditions are designed to help you make informed choices when shopping with us or engaging with us on our website and via social media. Making a purchase
Purchasing your plants is so simple, just click on the items you wish
to buy and add them to the cart. Go to
checkout page and follow the instructions on the screen.
You
do not need a Paypal account to make a purchase; we take credit and debit card
payments too. Payments are processed through a secure and encrypted payment
gateway so your credit card details remain safe. We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any 3rd parties. Our
website has a Secure Socket Layer that protects your information when being
transmitted to Paypal. We don’t personally handle any of your data and no
individual will ever see your sensitive payment information.
Due
to the unpredictable nature of the British weather and growing seasons, we
cannot guarantee that our delivery will always be in your specific window. We
will notify you via email if there is a change in expected delivery date.
Postage and Packing
Our pledge to you as the customer is to deliver the best quality plants to you in excellent condition, ready to get your garden growing as soon as possible. We ship all orders with Royal Mail with next-day (24-hour) delivery, so your plants should arrive the day after they’re collected from the polytunnel.
Our aim is to get the best possible quality vegetable, salad, fruit, and herb plants to you in the best possible condition. This requires good functional and ecological packaging and a speedy means of delivery. We charge a flat fee of £6.99 per shipping season to all UK locations. For example, if you order ‘Spring’ items only, you will be charged £6.99; if you order a mixture of ‘Spring’ and ‘Summer’ items, you will be charged £13.98 etc.
Local pickup from BS29YJ is free. We do not ship outside of the UK.
Receiving your order
We send your plants when they are ready to be planted into the garden; this is often at a later date than when you place your order. Although we give guidelines on when they will arrive, we reserve the right to deliver them outside of this window, and when they are at the optimum planting quality.
For example if you order your Spring Garden in a Box on the 3rd of December 2024, it will arrive in April 2025. If you order a Summer box on the 3rd of December 2024 it will be delivered in June 2025 etc. There may be unexpected delays, so please be patient. Once your order has been dispatched from our polytunnel, you’ll receive an ‘Order Complete’ notification from Propagation Place. Royal Mail should follow up shortly with a delivery update and tracking details. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with your specific delivery date prior to it being being dispatched from our polytunnel.
If we are ahead of schedule, you may receive your plants sooner than the delivery times above. If you know that you are going to be away for a long period of time, please send us an email informing us of the dates you are away so we can avoid sending your order during that time. Simply reply to your order confirmation to let us know.
General terms and conditions
Propagation Place reserves the right to replace any variety with a suitable alternative should the need arise. If a suitable alternative is unavailable, you may be issued a gift voucher (rounded up to the nearest £5) that can be redeemed online or at our physical site. Gift vouchers are valid for plants only and are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

Our guarantee to you
We are committed to delivering products in excellent condition; however, human error or uncontrollable factors may occasionally affect quality. If your plants do not arrive in satisfactory condition, please notify us by email or in person within 24 hours of delivery. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept responsibility for unsatisfactory items if the initial contact is made outside this 24-hour window, except in exceptional circumstances.
For unsatisfactory goods, we will make every effort to send a replacement promptly to ensure planting within the correct season. If replacements are unavailable, we will issue a gift voucher rounded up to the nearest £5. In cases where no suitable alternative is available, we may provide a full refund as a final resolution.
Please note that we cannot assume responsibility for the longevity of plants after they have been planted unless there is clear evidence of a fault that was not apparent upon receipt. Our liability is limited to the value of the original purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
Cancellations and Returns policy
Refunds are only eligible before any part of your order has been dispatched. If your order contains items from different growing seasons and one part has already been shipped, we reserve the right to issue a gift voucher for the remaining order, equal to or greater than the original purchase price of the unshipped items. Partial cancellations of the remaining order are not allowed. Due to the nature of our plant products, returns are not accepted. If your goods arrive in unsatisfactory condition, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving them so we can resolve the issue. Unfortunately, we cannot address such concerns after this period, given the nature of the products. All purchases from Propagation Place are subject to English law, and your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Competitions and prize draws
By entering a competition on our website or any marketing channel including social media, you accept all of our terms and conditions.
All entries must be submitted by the closing date displayed on the competition.
Propagation Places’ decision is final.
There
will be no cash alternative to the offered prizes and we reserve the right to
change or substitute prizes for a substitute that we deem to be of equal value
as the original prize offered.
Entrants
must be over 18 years of age and resident in the UK.
Propagation Place reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to modify any competition, including its rules, terms and conditions, or any specific competition guidelines, without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on our website or relevant social media channels. You can view these updates on our website or request a written copy by contacting us at the address provided in our main terms and conditions or on the contact page of our website.
Prize winners will be notified via email or through a direct message on the social media platform where the competition was held (e.g., Facebook or Instagram). Notifications will be sent using the contact details provided during entry, within 28 days of the competition’s closing date, unless stated otherwise in the specific competition rules.
Offers and discounts
Propagation Place discounts and offers are only valid during the advertised dates and cannot be applied outside of this period.
To qualify for a discount, you must enter the relevant offer or discount code when placing your order. Offers cannot be applied once your order has been completed, so please ensure the code is entered correctly before proceeding to payment. Only one discount can be used per order.
